BETTER TOGETHER

You don't have to do this alone. I know there is a ton of information available out there, and it can feel completely overwhelming, right? I've consumed more information than any one person should have to. That's why I help my clients create simple strategies to get them off the ground and running without having to overthink everything.

WHO I WORK WITH

Helping women and mommas is what lights a fire in my heart. As a mom of two children ages 4 and 7, I know the struggles, frustrations, and confusion all too well. Oh, and did I mention I homeschool our oldest? I've been there more times than I'd like to admit. Looking back, I am thankful for all the ups and downs of this business ride so that I can make things easier for others to get started.

I also know all too well that all of these challenges can not only hold you back, but completely keep you from even getting started... and I don't want that for you!

SOME OF OUR CLIENTS

OUR VALUES

Support

It takes a village. When we have someone in our corner, cheering us on and giving us support through our struggles, it makes a world of difference. I will always do what I can to offer you support during the good and the bad days.

Community of Women

Having a community of like-minded women who are in similar and different phases of life and business has been amazing. It's great for ideas, encouragement, and resources.

Encouragement

I believe that when others succeed, we succeed. I will be your cheerleader no matter what! We need more women rooting for our fellow business owners, not downing them for doing the damn thing.

My goal will always be to help you grow and thrive, and to celebrate your wins!

Family First

Our families are the reason we do what we do. So it is important to us that we don't spend all day every day "working our business", and we don't want that for our clients either. Having the time, freedom, and flexibility to work around my family's needs is such a blessing.

OWNER | CREATOR | BUSINESS COACH | MOMMA | WIFE

Like many others, I lost my job in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I had been there for 8 years, was already working from home, and loved what I did and who I worked with. They furloughed me for months, and I was told I would be coming back. Then I got a call from my boss... they were eliminating my position.

We were both pissed. What was I going to do now? We had never been a one-income household. On top of that, I was pregnant with our second baby. I started thinking about ways I could work from home so we wouldn't have to put our kids in daycare. Let's be honest, I would never make enough money in the workforce to where paying for childcare makes sense.

A friend told me she had started working as a Virtual Assistant and asked if I'd like her to put my name out there. It sounded amazing, so I immediately said yes! Shortly after, I had all kinds of women reaching out for my help. I had 5 clients within a month. I was busy, getting paid, and it was great! Clients came and went with different needs, such as one-off projects, monthly graphics, social templates, etc.

As things slowed down again, I thought maybe I could sell digital social media kits. Almost everyone I was working for needed help in this area, and they were LOVING my work. I took to Etsy. YEARS ago, I painted glass and sold on Etsy. I changed the shop name and info and started listing.

I started sharing what I was doing on my Facebook page, and had an old friend message me. He had started a brick-and-mortar Marketing Agency and wanted to hire me. I was thrilled! For the next couple of years, I worked as a freelancer doing whatever they needed help with. I did blog posts, video editing, and eventually became the social media manager.

I got to work with some amazing people and learned so much! One of those was a 30+ year graphic designer who was more than willing to share her expertise. I will forever be grateful for the time at that agency and to our friend for giving me a chance.

When things slowed down and they really needed someone there in the office, we decided that it was time for me to go back out and do my own thing.

I was excited. I was scared as shit. I was once again without a steady job. I knew I had the skills, but wtf was I going to do with them? I went back to Etsy. But this time it was for branding.

I was great at making things look beautiful and cohesive. So I created branding packages to sell. Things have since evolved... I rarely sell a premade template. Custom branding packages are my biggest seller. This is wonderful because this is where the magic really happens.

That, my friends, is the long journey (short version) on how I ended up where I am today. I am so excited that you are here and ready to take those first steps to start building the life you've always dreamed of!

Much Love, Kayla
